What are some common tree care issues that Wild Geese Tree Care can help with?

As a trusted tree care service provider serving the Southern Willamette Valley, Oregon, Wild Geese Tree Care has the knowledge and expertise to address any tree care questions or concerns you have. Licensed and insured, our certified arborist can inspect your trees for pests, disease, and structural issues that put them and you at risk. We work with you to determine the safest, most effective method to improve the health and integrity of your trees. If removal is the only option, our tree felling crew can safely remove your tree from any location, taking all measures to prevent damage during the process.

We can advise you on the best trees and plants for your landscape and help you select the best location while educating you on how to care for them.

If your tree requires support after a storm or planting, we can design and install cabling, and other supports to encourage healthy growth and healing.

The tree care experts at Wild Geese Tree Care do their best to save your trees, but when that is not possible or feasible, consider allowing us to create a wildlife snag with the remaining stump. Leaving the stump provides a habitat for the wildlife and insects that lived in your tree as long as the tree was free of infectious disease or pests that could spread to nearby plants.

Other services we provide include pruning trees to improve fruit production and leaf growth, hedge trimming, shrub and bush shaping, chipping, and consultations, arborist inspections, assessments, and reporting. With a certified arborist on our team, we are the only tree service provider you need.

Testimonials

Needed to have an old cherry and two smaller trees removed from our residential property. Dane from Wild Geese replied immediately to my initial inquiry and performed a site estimate.  Dane was very flexible on project details and work was done quickly and very neatly.  Tree material was cut to to size for use as firewood.  Definitely would recommend Wild Geese for arborist services.  Dane was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and a  pleasure to work with.  Thanks!

We needed a tree cut down that was dead and overrun with ivy.  The tree was against our neighbors old fence and had cable lines running through it. Other companies refused or quoted too high because they didn’t want the job. The team at Flying Geese were very responsive, professional, and kind.  They got the job done in a timely manner. They  were able to cut down the tree without damaging the old fence.  After the job was done, they cleaned up nicely.  We are so pleased with the results and so are the neighbors on both sides. We highly recommend this company.

Dane, the owner, was really nice. Came out quick and did a quote that was very reasonable for pruning two very overgrown apple trees and even did two blueberry bushes.

He was right on time and quick at pruning. He explained what he was doing and why, and helped teach us if we want to do it ourselves next year.

Also local, we love supporting local businesses.

Definitely give him a call if you need some work done

Oregon Tree Care FAQs

  • How much does tree pruning cost?

The cost to prune trees in Oregon depends on the size of the tree, condition (extent of pruning), accessibility, and number of trees. We offer free quotes online and in-person. Get yours today!

  • Do you do hedge trimming?

Yes. We prune and trim hedges, shrubs, bushes, and trees.

  • How far in advance should I schedule a tree service?

Tree pruning season is busy for us. If you want your trees pruned on a particular day and time, we recommend scheduling your service the season before. Waiting until spring or fall pruning season to call may be too late.

  • Do you do emergency tree services in Eugene, OR?

We do emergency and storm damage tree care and removal. If your tree has been damaged by a storm, call now.

We also help with wildfire spread prevention and can help you take measures to prevent storm damage.

  • Do you prune overgrown fruit trees?

We can prune overgrown cherry, apple, and other fruit trees to improve structure and increase fruit production. Talk to us about your fruit trees today.

  • Do I need to cable my young, new trees?

Not necessarily. In fact, it's best not to cable or add support systems to newly planted trees to encourage strong root growth. If support is necessary, it shouldn't stay on longer than 1 to 2 years, testing the stability and adjusting for growth every 6 months.

Our certified arborist can help you determine whether supporting your newly planted trees is needed.

  • Can you create a wildlife snag with my tree stump?

We encourage leaving the stump after tree removal to create a wildlife snag or habitat pole. If your tree didn't perish due to disease or pests that could spread to nearby plants, we create an inviting habitat for wildlife with the stump.

  • What do you do with the tree after you remove it?

After tree felling, we do our best to reuse and recycle the tree stem and branches by chopping them for firewood and chipping brush and branches for arborist chips and mulch.

We can leave the chips in a neat pile for you to place around other trees and in your gardens. If you want the firewood, we can leave that too. Otherwise, we haul it away and sell it.

  • Can you help me choose the best trees for my property and the best location to plant them?

Absolutely! Our tree care specialists can help you choose the right trees and help you determine the best location to plant them. Every species has different needs and growth patterns. Let us help you select the trees that will thrive in your space and fit your lifestyle and landscape.
